Bistable Solenoids
Bistable solenoids - a momentary signal actuates the solenoid, by reversing the polarity of the coil, a push (thrust) or a pull sequence is achieved. Continuous power is not required, the armature of the bistable solenoid is held in position upon removal of power by a spring or permanent magnet, this is particularly useful for applications where low energy consumption is required, for example, battery or solar powered locking mechanisms.
Bistable solenoids are open frame and compact by design, stroke lengths between 2.5mm and 8mm are possible. Listed in each section are preferred production solenoids, they are available for quick delivery and competitively priced. For additional pricing on other solenoids or unique designs, please call or email us for further information.
