The Hengstler 250 series stroke counter has a large 5 digit display, the digit height is 6.5mm. The counter subtracts from a preset value to zero and releases a SPDT contact (Max. load 1A at 250V) upon passing from 00000 to 99999, this signal is retained until reset. The reset button is used to reset the counter or used in conjunction with the preset push buttons to set the predetermined count value.
To set the predetermined value, unlock the reset button by pressing a red spring loaded safety disc, then hold the reset button down. Whilst the reset button is held down, press the preset buttons accordingly until you reach the desired preset number. Now return the reset button to its initial position. Press the reset again to ensure the preset is displayed correctly in the window, all the digits must be fully visible.
Stroke counters can be ordered with a top coming shaft type BZ (viewing the front display the top of the shaft is coming towards the observer) or a top going shaft type BW (viewing the front display the top of the shaft is going away from the observer).
Stroke counters are supplied with a double shaft (7mm diameter). The maximum count rate is 800 strokes/min (stroke levers are sold separately). Actuating travel of the stroke lever is 38° minimum, maximum travel is 55°, an internal spring mechanism returns the lever to its rest position.
